Town Services

WATERFORD TOWN PARKS

The Waterford Department of Parks and Recreation Camp Counselors will be hosting activities for youth at Clement Park Monday-Friday from 10am-2pm beginning on Monday June 25, 2018. Activities will include group sports and team play, crafts, and educational skill building. There will also be an opportunity for kids to participate in off premise field trips. The calendar of scheduled field trips and Youth Recreation events will be made available on the Town of Waterford website as soon as it is finalized.

As with the Village Program at 4th Street Park, Clement Park is also a “come-and-go” program with no formal attendance structure. If you have any questions please call Mary Stalker at 518-527-1740.

WATERFORD TOWN POOL and Fees

The Town Pool is located at 36 Ballston St, Waterford, NY 12188 and open to all Waterford residents.

2018 Pool Hours

June 16th and 17th: 1pm to 6pm

June 23rd through August 19th: Daily, 1pm to 6pm

Swimming lessons

Swimming lessons are offered free to town residents.

To register, visit the pool between 9am and 12pm on June 16th, 17th, or 23rd.

Proof of Residency is required at the time of swim lesson sign up.

 

Baby & Buddy: Introduction to Water: Infants and toddlers will get comfortable in the water along with ab adult buddy 

Level 1: Introduction to Water Skills: Students will learn how to feel comfortable in the water and safely enjoy it. 

Level 2: Fundamentals of Aquatic Skills: Children will learn basic swimming skills. 

Level 3: Stroke Development: Additional guided practice will help students improve their skills. 

Level 4: Stroke Improvement: Kids will gain confidence during swim lessons, improve their stroke and gain additional aquatic skills. 

Level 5: Stroke Refinement: Guidance allows kids to refine their strokes and become more efficient swimmers. 

Level 6: Swimming and Skill Proficiency: Students will learn to swim with ease and efficiency, and gain the ability to swim smoothly over greater distances. Swimmers will also have the option to participate in more advanced courses.
