Public Information Meeting - Halfmoon-Waterford Fire District 1

NOTICE OF PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING

Notice is hereby given that the Halfmoon-Waterford Fire District No. 1 (the “Fire District”) will hold an information meeting on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fire District located at 315 Middletown Road, Waterford, New York 12188. The purpose of the meeting is to review the Fire District’s proposed capital project which consists of the: (A) construction of an approximately 20,000 square foot footprint fire station and related parking and site improvements to replace an existing fire station on the property located at 315 Middletown Road, Waterford, New York, and acquisition of original furnishings, equipment, machinery or apparatus required for the purpose for which such building is to be used, at a maximum estimated cost of $13,375,000, (B) expenditure of such sum for such purpose, including the expenditure of $1,043,437 from the Capital Reserve Fund, (C) levy the necessary tax therefore, to be levied and collected in annual installments in such years and in such amounts as may be determined by the Board of Fire Commissioners, and (D) in anticipation of the collection of such tax, the issuance of bonds and notes of the Fire District at one time or from time to time in the principal amount not to exceed $12,331,563, and levy of tax to pay the interest on said obligations when due.
