Waterford Museum Winter Series

The Waterford Historical Museum and Cultural Center winter lecture series continues and we hope to see you there:

Historian Russ VanDervoort will be continuing his popular lecture from last year, "Letters from the Civil War", about Waterfordian Charles Shepard.His lecture last year shared this man's Civil War experiences on a personal level as it explored the history through the letters he wrote home to his wife and daughter. This year's lecture will focus more on the family receiving those letters, as well as detail Shepard's 153 days spent in a Confederate Prison Camp. 

Come enjoy a fascinating lecture on local history and some delicious food from Smith's Restaurant at Van Schaick Island Country Club, located at 201 Continental Ave, Cohoes.
