Celebrate the release of the new book on Waterford “Images of America – Waterford” and the Museums  Holiday Wine & Cheese Tasting on Friday, December 4th from 7 pm – 9 pm at the Waterford Historical Museum, 2 Museum Lane in Waterford. Two events in one!

This will be your first chance to purchase the Waterford book and the author, Richard F. Herzog will be on hand to sign your book.  The author, lived in Waterford from 1947 until 1990 and has been collecting memorabilia of the village and town for the past 45 years. With the urging of others who shared the same interest in preserving its unique history, this book has become a reality. Drawing on past research from people such as Nathaniel B. Sylvester, George N. Michon and Col. Sydney E. Hammersley along with its residents and the Waterford Historical Museum and Cultural Center, this pictorial presentation brings to life those memories and experiences to a new generation.

There will be many never seen before images of both the Village and Town (including northside) of Waterford. Chapters include:  Business, Industry and Prominent People, Street Scenes, Neighborhoods and Residents, Schools and Churches, Transportation, Disasters, Police, Firemen and Military. All proceeds benefit the Museum.

Holiday Wine & Cheese Tasting - Same Night!

We will also be hosting our Holiday Wine & Cheese Tasting the same night! We are very excited to welcome new friends to the Museum, Tony & Debreen Oliva, owners of Oliva Winery & Thoroughbreds. They will be providing tastings of some of their amazing wines. Coupled with some incredible cheeses and other refreshments your epicurean palette will surely be delighted.
