2014 Tugboat Roundup Schedule
The 2014 Tugboat Roundup will be the weekend after Labor Day!
September 5th, 6th & 7th, 2014
Throughout the Weekend, Visit Food and Craft Vendors,Souvenir stands and shore-displays. All events are free, although boat rides do have a nominal charge. Boat tickets are available at their docks.
Friday, September 5th
2:45 Official start of The Tugboat Parade, from the Port of Albany (near Shed 4)
4:00 George Ward plays at the Visitor's Center (until 7:00pm)
5:00 Boat's begin to arrive from Parade. Arrivals announced on the P.A. system from the Visitor's Center.
7:00 All Nite Long plays on the Grand Erie (until 1O:OOpm)
Saturday, September 6th
9:00 Waterfront open; Vendors, Exhibits, Family Activities, Boat rides and walk-through tours of Tugboats (until 5:00pm, participating boats).
Lois McClure open for tours at Lock 2. Tug Urger open for tours at Lock 2. Farmer's Market Antique Outboard Motor Display by
the Old Outboard Guy (until 5:30pm)
10:00 Yesterday's News plays on the Grand Erie (until 12:00 noon) Line Splicing seminars along the waterfront with the "Marlinspike Artist."
11:00 NYS Canal Corporation's model lock demonstrations all day long. Mini-Tugs "work" the Waterford Harbor.
Boat Show at Lock 2, presented by Eastern NY Marine Dealer's Association, Southern, Saratoga Chamber of Commerce and "Boating on the Hudson."
12:00 Saratoga "Bounce" at lock 2 (open until dusk) Kid's Activity!
Pony Rides (Dream Ponies) (open until 4:00pm) Kid's Activity!
Flood Road plays on the Grand Erie (until 2:30pm)
12:30 Face Painting and Balloon Animals at Lock 2 (until 2:30) Kid's Activity!
