“We in Waterford are blessed to have Emergency Responders who serve us with honor and dedication. “I have always viewed those who volunteer as very special people, because they are truly committed to helping others in our community,” said Waterford Councilman, Dave Ball.
“Waterford’s first responders do noble work and they all deserve our gratitude and respect,” said Waterford Councilman, Jim Boudreau.
“We don’t always see them and we may not think of them frequently, but when we need them, they always come. They are essential to us and so it is essential that we honor their service,” said Waterford Councilwoman, Laurie Marble.
“Our Military and our first responders risk their own well-being and their lives to protect us every day. It is fitting that we should thank those who serve and honor those we have lost,” said Waterford Councilman, Frank McClement.

The areas that will be affected are identified within a letter that was recently sent to each homeowner within the affected area and shown below. The work that needs to be done has been identified and categorized into three phases. Phase One will be within the west sidewalk area of Saratoga Avenue from Stewarts to Clifton Street. Phase Two, which has begun, is from Saratoga Avenue, along Clifton Street and under the Canadian Pacific Railroad tracks. Phase Three will be installing a new main and house services within and along the following streets: River Street, Clifton Street, Grove Street, First Avenue from Clifton to Grace, and Grace Street from First Avenue to VanDerwerken Avenue. At this time National Grid intends to begin work in the near future on Phases One and Three. When those start dates become definite, we will update accordingly.
