Notice is hereby given that the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Waterford, New York, will hold a public hearing at Town Hall, 65 Broad Street, Waterford, New York, on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 6:30 P.M. in the evening to hear comments concerning an application for area variances.
The property proposed for review is located at 6 Birch Glen Drive in a R-100 zoning district. The applicant, Christopher Barre seeks two area variances in order to construct a 40’ x 40 x 26’ (high) garage. The following area variances are being requested:

1. 6:30 PM 6 Birch Glen Drive – Christopher Barre proposes to build a 40’ x 40’ garage on his property. He seeks two area variances for the garage (building height 26 ft vs 15 ft and rear setback from property line 2 ft vs 5 ft).
2. 6:40 PM 53 Towpath Lane – Julie Severance proposes to locate a shed in her side yard in Riverbend. Local Code allows sheds only in the rear yard for homes in this section of Riverbend. Her back yard is triangular in shape and has an in-ground pool. Hence, there is insufficient space for a shed in the back yard and she seeks a use variance to allow its placement in the side yard.
Regular Meeting follows immediately after the conclusion of the two public hearings.
