Waterford Museum's Winter Lecture Series
The Waterford Historical Museum and Cultural Center is announcing its February installment of its annual Winter Lecture Series:
FEBRUARY 7
Dinner 6:30; Lecture begins at 7pm
Van Schaick Island Country Club - 201 Continental Ave, Cohoes
Admission: $5 members; $6 not-yet members
Albany City Historian, Anthony Opalka, will be presenting his lecture “Tour Through Time” of Albany’s South End. His illustrated lecture will take listeners on a tour of Albany’s melting pot, exploring the history and stories of immigration, urban development, and architecture over the past 200 years.
With involvement on multiple projects throughout Albany, including WMHT’s “ The Neighborhood That Disappeared”, Mr. Opalka is sure to have many interesting and fun tales of history and culture that makes Albany a treasure trove of history.
Our lecture series is held at the Van Schaick Island Country Club, providing those who attend with a great space and dinner in its Smith’s Restaurant on site. Dinner is available to order off their menu for those who hunger in ways other than knowledge, but is not included in admission price.
RSVP at the VSCC at 237-0145. We look forward to seeing you all there!
Please find attached a PDF flyer of the museum's event. The museum would appreciate if you could please add this event to the town's online calendar. Thank you.
Sincerely,
