Sustainable Living in a Changing Climate - Peebles Island State Park

Please join the Friends of Peebles Island State Park for this timely presentation.
97% of scientists believe that climate change is real and human caused. Saratoga County Master Gardeners, Gordie Peters and Marcia Martin, will offer a PowerPoint presentation explaining the science (causes & effects) behind climate change.  Come and learn about the greenhouse effect, carbon sequestration, and mycorrhizae.  Gordie and Marcia will answer questions such as; "How does melting sea ice affect me?", "Do plants really  communicate with each other?;, and "Why does thrift store shopping matter?".  Leave with practical tips and actions we can use to push back against climate change, including how to create a free soil amendment to encourage healthier plants. Handouts will be available and there will be time for your questions.
